How to build a "Made for AdSense" website
I must start out by saying the title of this page is misleading.  It's kind of an inside joke for those who read the "WebmasterWorld" adsense board. This is a great place to lurk if you want to find out more about making money with the program.

Many folks there spend alot of time complaining about "scrappers" and people who steal content and discuss at length the underhanded methods others use when stealing their precious adsense dollars or  ranking.  While they are doing this they are, of course, very proud of THEIR rankings in google and spend alot of time obsessing about this subject.

Many people surfing that board are looking for the magic recipe; a trick or idea that will allow them to join in the orgy of $$$ coming from google.

Here's a website idea I am working up that's potentially a winner; go ahead and steal it....

I think that if you want to be successful with programs like AdSense you should design websites where people can:

  • Find the information they need

  • Can buy the product they have been searching for

  • Can pass the time or get a laugh

  • Come back to again and again to see what's up

If you can do this and are patient you will be well on your way to your first $100 cheque.

$100 ???  But I want to be a millionaire !!!

Believe me, that first $100 will be the sweetest.

From what I see it's all about multiples.  Ten cents a day becomes a dollar.  A dollar becomes ten.  Then it's a hundred, and so on.

If you want to make the process even easier consider the following when designing your pages:

  • Create "evergreen" content.  Information that is effective and well presented and does not change often.  This reduces the amount of time you spend updating.

  • Never stop innovating.  If you stand still you are dead.  Keep adding new features and reasons for your visitors to return.

  • Automate.  Let the users administer itself.  Sometimes these things take on a life of their own and require little intervention, if coded properly.

  • Don't promise too much.  The best thing about delivering a service for free is that you can deliver it "as-is".  The moment you have paying customers the dynamic changes.

  • Spend the money on technology when required.  Time is money and quality equipment and software helps you move faster.
