As someone who has been playing in the the online world for some time I am often asked for tips and tricks by my friends and peers.  

This article is inspired by a few things:

1. It makes my life easier.  I often have to explain to people “what it is I do” for a living. Now I can tell them “just go read the article; it’s pretty complex, but if you can follow it let’s talk."  Here is an example of a website I am tinkering with; go ahead and steal it.  Folks often call me up; ask for free advice; then after looking at their situation and suggesting some next steps they suddenly feel that their cousin Vinnie has a better plan; something to do with email marketing and “selling name-brand products online in your own virtual store” or some such nonsense… Now if you want some free advice; just read the article and then ask me your question.

2. Mike D'Amour.  He was a Berlitz language instructor working as a tourguide I met in Banff years ago. Truly amazing person; fluent in 9 languages. He had a cassette tape that he would hand out to the folks like myself: “Japanese in 10 easy years”. It was his way of saying; sure; try and learn Japanese, it’s pretty easy. As long as you don’t mind spending some time doing it…This is a critical point; everyone wants to be successful; few want to spend the 10 years it takes to make it so.

3. The Benjamin's I have been making a few pennies a day for years now using programs like adsense and read that if I generate a referral (someone who signs up to use google ad products on their website or to sell products) I get a huge bonus.
